Opening Party: Saturday June 6, 1-6pm, Tranist Garden at Smith St and 2nd Place.

Windows Brooklyn takes art out of the traditional museum or gallery setting and incorporates it into a vibrant public space. The show turns pedestrians into viewers, slowing down impatient walkers and transforming the frequently traveled routes of harried commuters. Turning independent business owners into collaborators who are willing to exchange commerce for culture, the exhibition is a commentary on the nature of the window both as a physical object and as an idea, one that goes far beyond just pieces of glass. We seek to reflect the incredible history of Brooklyn while simultaneously adding to it. We are forging new connections between artists and their communities, changing the ways in which we direct our gazes, and altering our habits for interacting with the structures that surround us.

Bambino Mio has finally arrived to the USA & ola baby

June 2, 2009

Bambino Mio provides a complete nappy system (non-disposable diapers) suitable for babies from newborn to potty training stage (around two and a half years) including 100% cotton nappies, waterproof nappy covers and biodegradable flushable nappy liners.

Bambino Mio Nappy System:

Bambino Mio’s nappies and covers have been designed with comfort and simplicity in mind, which make them convenient and easy to use.

Bambino Mio’s two-piece system:

  • The nappy cover has Velcro style fasteners to make them quick and simple to use, and allow adjustment to suit the shape of each baby. The edges of the covers have soft binding on the waist and leg cuffs. The waist and cuffs are elasticated to ensure a snug fit.
  • A 100% pure cotton nappy. Nappies have a three panel construction with a thicker centre panel giving maximum absorbency with minimum bulk.

The nappy can be separated from the cover so that there is no need to change the cover with every nappy change, simply place a fresh nappy inside the cover and fasten back onto your baby.

For added convenience we recommend the use of the biodegradable Mio Liners. The nappy liners retain solids and are safe to flush down the toilet. They are designed with a one-way action that allows moisture to pass through but prevent it seeping back.

The Enviornment:

Disposable nappies are disposable for parents, but not for the environment! Around 8 million disposable nappies are thrown away every day in the UK. The Government is committed reducing the amount of household waste going to landfill, and have targets set by the European Union to reduce waste by 65% by 2020.

Bambino Mio is committed to continuing to produce environmentally friendly products. Cotton nappies are one of the fastest growing areas of baby care, and during the past five years the number of parents using cotton nappies in the UK alone has increased from 2% to 15%.

Come see for yourself this new non-disospable diaper system with flushable, yes flushable bio-degradable liners at ola baby, 315 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231, 718-422-1978.
